It has been a full, inspiring spring and summer with so many new challenges and adventures!
Last summer I began dreaming of a little store front to support local artisans, a space for community to meet and to share my Ravenwood Wildcraft products and this spring it all came to life!
I found a tiny barn on wheels in Princeton B.C. that was hand built with love as a gift to his wife for their goats and chickens. With a change of lifestyle, this couple ended up purchasing a small home and no longer required their tiny barn and to me; it was a dream manifested! This little barn, (now called The Little Crow Barn) is situated at The Valley Community Garden in Gold Bridge and has been a huge part of my spring and summer. Thanks to my handy multi-talented partner, we painted, scrubbed, rewired and added some finishing touches and opened on the May long weekend. It has been such a fun space to share with others, offering tours of the community garden, quiet time spend planting, weeding, tending and nibbling on the bountiful harvest that grows there as well as meeting people from all around the world who managed to find their way to our remote valley and share stories and inspiration; being able to offer local gifts and seasonal wildcrafted body products has been such an honor. As the seasons change, The Little Crow Barn is morphing into a small cafe offering handmade muffins, brownies and cinnamon buns as well as hot coffee, a few days a week as well as being a local space to shop for holiday gifts.
If you ever find yourself traveling this way…please come and say hello!
